Return & Refund Policy (India Only)

This policy applies to physical books purchased from our website and delivered to addresses within India.

1) Eligibility window

You may request a replacement or missing-item resolution within 3 days of delivery, based on the courier tracking delivery date/time.

2) Accepted reasons

We’ll help if any of the following happens:

  • Incorrect item received: wrong title/author/edition/format compared to your order.
  • Manufacturing/printing issues: missing pages, duplicate pages, misprints affecting reading, wrong page sequence, major binding defects.
  • Transit issues: book damaged in shipping, parcel received with missing item(s) or short shipment.
  • Tampered package: if the parcel appears opened or tampered, you may refuse delivery and inform us within 48 hours.

3) Not eligible (not covered)

Requests may be declined in these cases:

  • Ordered by mistake / changed your mind after purchase.
  • Minor packaging dents, small scuffs or slight cosmetic wear that doesn’t affect usability/readability.
  • Damage after delivery due to mishandling, moisture, storage conditions or misuse.
  • Items clearly mentioned as non-returnable, plus digital products, gift cards and free promotional freebies.

4) How to submit a request

  1. Email us at prabhatbooks@gmail.com within 48 hours with the following:
  2. Subject line: Replacement Request – Order ID XXXXX
  3. Order details: Order ID, item name(s)
  4. Issue type: Wrong item / Damaged / Printing defect / Missing item
  5. Proof: Clear photos of front cover, the issue area (defect/damage) and outer packaging with shipping label

Optional but helpful: an unboxing video (especially for damage or missing items)

We’ll review your details and reply with the next steps.

5) Pickup & Replacement conditions

  • Reverse pickup: We arrange pickup where service is available; otherwise, we may guide you with an alternate replacement method.
  • Packing: Please keep the book(s) in original condition, including any inserts and pack securely to avoid further damage.
  • Verification: Once received, items undergo a basic check to validate the claim.

6) Resolution options

Depending on the case and stock availability, we may offer:

  • Replacement of the same title/edition (preferred, if available)
  • Reshipment of missing item(s)
  • Refund if replacement is not available or the case qualifies for refund as per verification

7) Processing Time

Prepaid orders: Refunded to the original payment method.

Processing timeline: Refunds/Replacements are generally processed within 5–7 business days after verification/approval.
